Iowa Photo Journal 11: Night Fountain
I've been a bit sick the last several days, but felt a bit better today. We decided to fulfill a promise of taking the boys to see the city fountain at night, and these are the photos from it, a mini photo journal entry titled, Night Fountain.
Incidentally, we also got an icecream at the icecream shop, Whiteys, which has great icecream, but I have to say, lousy shakes. I don't know if it is a midwest thing or not, but my shake wasn't really a shake, It was more like a Wendy's "Frosty" than a shake. It was so thick it was completley impossible to actually drink through a straw, and came with a spoon for obvious reason. After it had melted a lot it could finally be drunk through the straw, but by then it was all but gone. I guess it would work out if one of us walked into town, bought shakes and then walked them back - by then it would be more like a shake.

Hi. I just came accross your blog! It's super fun. I just moved from Iowa City and it's been fun to read your posts about some of my favorite places around town and that your kids are enjoying all the fun things to do. Make sure you show them Rusty the sloth and the big whale skeletons at the Natural History Museum!
Thanks for reading, and I'll be sure to get the boys to the museum. We were briefly inside the museum the day of the "Around Town" photos on the photo journal, just to find a restroom, after they had run around in the "park" area shown there, and saw a handful of displays, but we haven't been able to really go yet.
