Rediscovering Laundromats

One thing that this trip has taught me is that it was a mistake to stop going to the laundromat. Having a washer and dryer in your house can be nice, but it takes ridiculous amounts of time to actually do laundry that way. Even though it is convenient, you still have to be around to get it done and you can only do one load at a time. We have a terrible problem keeping up with the laundry as a result. In a laundromat you can do all your laundry at once, do it quickly, and when you're done there are large tables that make it easy to fold all that clothes. Plus you don't do the maintenance. Maybe we'll change our minds, but for now at least, I think when we get home we'll be going to the laundromat again. I don't think we'll stop using the home washer/dryer, but when the laundry gets out of hand, and it always does, we'll make a trip to the laundromat.

I'm trying to send this comment for the second time. I never saw kids, big or little enjoying a laundromat so much. I always thought they were a pain. Maybe I'd better take a new look!
