Max Lightyear Flies Alone?

I drove Max to school this morning (I'm home because Emmett has been pretty awfully sick since last Thursday with a stomach virus, but the continuing sickness story is another blog entry to be written). On the way Max said to me, in not so few words as this was difficult for him to explain, that when he becomes an astronaut, he wants to fly solo in a spaceship. I said to him, "wouldn't you like to have teammates to help out?" Max said, "Well, I don't want to think about that right now. As a kid I have better things to think about, like toys and playing."

He may have gotten this idea from a DVD we rented for him and Emmett, "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command - The Adventure Begins". Or some title like that. In it Buzz (seemingly) losses a partner and then decides he will no longer have a partner because he does't want anyone else to come in harms way as long Evil Emperor Zurg is after him.
